David Hurwitz

David is an experienced entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of investment and operational experience in financial services.

After 10+ years as a debt capital markets specialist, in 2005 he joined and led a family office in spearheading a centralised investment team, acquiring entities & then collaborating closely with their management teams. This progression resulted in the assembly of a portfolio of related companies that were listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as Transaction Capital Ltd in 2012.

Subsequently to the listing of Transaction Capital Ltd, initially as its CFO and then CEO in 2014, he led its acquisitive & organic growth strategies, guiding the businesses to substantial scale through various initiatives, in both conducive & difficult environments. He exited Transaction Capital in 2022.
